Role Overview

The Role Overview The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, high-quality perioperative care in the operating room, assisting with patient assessment, care planning, and execution. They ensure an aseptic environment, monitor patient safety, and coordinate support services during surgery. The RN maintains sterile fields, manages supplies, and communicates effectively with the surgical team and patients' families. They evaluate care outcomes, respond to emergencies, and support continuous improvement in patient care.

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Active RN license in Washington State
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to obtain ACLS certification within 3 months (preferred)
• Preferred: IV skills, 2+ years perioperative experience, adherence to AORN standards

• Assess patient health and develop individualized care plans
• Implement and document nursing activities
• Ensure patient safety through positioning, asepsis, and safety protocols
• Coordinate supplies, equipment, and team members
• Communicate with patients, families, and team members
• Respond to emergencies and evaluate care effectiveness
