Registered Nurse – Pre Anesthesia / Pre Surgery Department

UW Medical Center-Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse for our Pre Anesthesia / Pre Surgery Department.

Our Pre-Anesthesia Clinic RNs provide a complete assessment of the patient and address medical issues to reduce the risk of complications of anesthesia during surgery. Pre‑op teaching is also part of the patient visit. The Pre‑Anesthesia Clinic will complete assessments for 60+ patients/day which are done as a clinic visit, phone interview or chart review. Nurses receive in‑depth specialty training to perform a complete pre‑anesthesia evaluation.

• Assessment and nursing diagnosis of patients
• Care planning
• Patient teaching
• Discharge and transfer planning
• Admission, discharge, and transfer processes

• 2 years current recent Critical Care experience, Emergency or PACU Phase I and/or Phase II
• PACU experience preferred
• Active Washington State RN License or applicable Multistate RN license

Pay Range Minimum: $46.97 hourly

Pay Range Maximum: $86.17 hourly

Other Compensation: $5.00/hr nights, $4.00/hr weekends, $3.00/hr evenings, $1.25/hr Nursing Certification, $1.00/hr BSN Premium
