Pediatric Transport RN
This role is for a Pediatric/Neonatal Transport RN supporting ground transportation needs. Responsibilities include working with the transportation team to transport infants and pediatric patients from surrounding hospitals, emergency rooms, and delivery units to a higher level of care. All candidates must have experience in ground transportation. The RN may float to cover as a bedside nurse in various units as needed.
Weekends are required every other weekend, with no call required. The role involves working closely with respiratory therapists and advanced practice providers. Additional skills required include end-tidal CO2 monitoring, management of ventilated patients, and care of central lines. Other essential skills include arterial line management, tracheostomy care, and pediatric dosage calculations. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in NICU transport and will be familiar with the necessary protocols for patient care during transport.
Interdisciplinary support teams, including respiratory services and social services, will be available as needed. The RN will participate in patient assessments and care management throughout the transport process.
