Emergency Department Registered Nurse
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Must be available to work every other weekend.
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care to typical emergency department patients, including adult and pediatric cases. Responsibilities will include triaging patients, performing critical procedures, and managing emergency situations in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Administer chest tube set-up/care, cardioversion, and blood product administration.
- Conduct breathing treatments and manage BiPAP/CPAP therapy.
- Perform procedural sedation and rapid sequence intubation (RSI) as required.
- Float to different campuses as needed.
- Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- 1 year of experience in an emergency department setting.
- Active compact license required.
- Certifications:
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS. - Previous charge experience preferred.
