PACU RN Position - 4x10-Hour Day Shift
The PACU RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures in a fast-paced, high acuity environment. The role includes monitoring patients post-procedure, managing any complications, and ensuring a smooth recovery process.
Responsibilities- Monitor patient recovery and vital signs post-procedure.
- Administer medications and manage pain control as per protocols.
- Perform procedures such as TEE, cardioversion, and epidural block placement.
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
- Respond to emergencies and manage unstable patients, including those transferred directly from ICU.
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience or 2+ years in a high acuity level PACU setting.
- ACLS and BCLS certifications are required; CCRN and CPI preferred.
- Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
- First-time travelers accepted with strong critical thinking skills.
