Emergency Department Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule:

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays, weekends required unless schedule states otherwise.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) with at least 2 years of general ED experience. The ideal candidate will have exceptional evaluations from Manager or Director level references and will be proficient in handling high acuity patients, including those with a history in oncology, cardiology, and transplant. The ED also caters to a small pediatric population and includes patients with psych/behavioral health needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-level care for emergency patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage complex medical cases, including those involving transplant and VAD patients.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy.
• Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• At least 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications; CEN preferred.
• No pending licenses accepted; WA RN license required.
• Experience with care of ventilated patients, ICP monitoring, and management of dysrhythmias preferred.
• Must have experience with triage and knowledge of pulmonary artery lines.
