** Position Description
** Position Description  Seattle University College of Nursing and Health Sciences and Health Sciences invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty to teach at the BSN through DNP levels.  Applications are accepted throughout the year, with openings available in a variety of specialties.

We seek outstanding nurses with at least one year of experience in their specialties to teach clinically in the following areas:  medical-surgical nursing, reproductive health nursing, pediatric nursing, psychiatric/mental health nursing, population health, and geriatric nursing. In addition, we welcome applicants with advanced practice certification and two years of clinical experience as a nurse practitioner to teach graduate students in systems leadership, midwifery, and nurse practitioner tracks including:
Family, Adult-Gerontology (Acute and Primary Care), Women’s Health, and Family Psychiatric Mental Health.

Depending upon specialty and site, prelicensure clinical courses are taught from one to two days a week; eight hour or twelve-hour shifts; days, evenings, or nights; weekdays or weekends; and in a variety of clinical sites throughout King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties.

Qualifications

Required:

A master’s degree plus two years of clinical experience, with at least one year in the specialty is preferred for all faculty positions; however, applicants with a baccalaureate degree in nursing and a minimum of three years of experience in the specialty will be considered for prelicensure courses only.  Applicants should hold an unencumbered license to practice Washington State as a Registered Nurse.  

Advanced practice faculty must also hold WA State licensure as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) and have two years of experience in practice as an ARNP.Application Instructions Applicants should submit materials online at https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).
