Job Description

The Department of Urology at the University of Washington invites applications for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP - ARNP/PA‑C) to serve in a full‑time, 12‑month academic position at the Teaching Associate level. The anticipated start date is early Summer 2026. Teaching Associates hold annual appointments spanning July 1 – June 30 and may be reappointed for subsequent terms. Faculty members receive compensation for 11 months of service within each 12‑month period, with the remaining month allocated as paid time off.

The base salary range for this position is $10,000–$14,500 per month ($120,000–$174,000 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

As an APP, you will provide independent urologic care in outpatient settings, collaborating with physicians and participating in interdisciplinary patient care at the University of Washington Medical Center Montlake Campus. This role includes clinical duties, education, and research responsibilities. Key tasks include obtaining patient history, ordering and performing appropriate tests, prescribing and managing treatment plans, post‑operative management, symptom management, palliative care coordination, and facilitating minor surgical procedures within scope of practice.

Qualifications
  • Current and valid state Registered Nurse Licensure or Washington State PA licensure.
  • Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or a graduate of an accredited PA program.
  • Nationally certified ARNP or PA‑C with DEA registration.
  • No minimum years’ experience requirement; education, license, and certification requirements are sufficient.
