Position SummaryFull‑time night shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position available at Sea Mar's Cannon House Assisted Living Facility in Seattle. The CNA works under the supervision and guidance of a licensed nurse (RN or LPN) and is responsible for assisting with direct resident care and other tasks that support the patient milieu. The role includes direct resident care, nutritional support, observation and documentation, and general maintenance of the resident environment.
Responsibilities- Engage and communicate with residents to develop a trusting relationship.
- Observe residents and take vital signs as per the plan of care.
- Report any health issues and changes of condition immediately to the supervising nurse.
- Assist with personal hygiene, including showers, shaving, hair care, and nail care.
- Remind and/or assist residents with toileting per the care plan.
- Empty catheter bags.
- Monitor vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, pain level, and weight as assigned.
- Serve meals, keep the dining area clear, and deliver meal trays to residents’ rooms as approved by the licensed nurse.
- Make beds, change linens, and prepare laundry for the laundry aide.
- Keep residents’ spaces tidy, including washing dishes in the resident unit and discarding food older than three days.
- Assist residents with activities, meals, and other daily tasks.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Successfully completed an accredited Nursing Assistant Program and currently licensed as a CNA in Washington State.
- Maintain current CPR/BCLS certification at all times.
- Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team.
- Flexible to perform a variety of duties, some of which may change frequently.
- Pass a criminal background check and state‑specific abuse/fraud registry checks.
- Long‑Term Care experience preferred but not required.
- Must speak, write, read, and follow instructions in English.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred but not required.
