Locum Certified Nurse Midwife

Certified Nurse Midwife – Greater Seattle, Washington / Hospital-Based CNM, Labor & Delivery Midwife

Step into a highly collaborative hospital-based assignment where you'll provide full-spectrum midwifery care alongside an experienced OB team. This rewarding locum opportunity offers meaningful work with a diverse patient population while practicing in a well-equipped birth center just outside Seattle.

• Assignment Dates: Start as soon as credentialed (credentialing may take up to 90 days)
• Schedule:
  Six 24-hour call shifts per month, with additional shifts possible; some holiday availability required
• Practice in a 159-bed Level III Trauma Center
• Work alongside a team of 6 OB/GYN physicians, 6 CNMs, 1 gynecologic surgeon, and 1 gynecology ARNP
• Approximately 1,200 births annually, with CNMs managing nearly half
• One OB physician and one CNM are on call at all times
• On-site anesthesia, labor tubs, dedicated LDR suites, and a separate postpartum unit
• Utilize Epic EMR and collaborate with experienced birth center RNs
• Explore Seattle's nearby dining, waterfront attractions, parks, and cultural destinations during your time off

• Be able to do the job as described.
• Master's degree in Nurse Midwifery
• Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) certification required
• Washington Nurse Midwife license or eligibility through a compact license pathway
• Experience performing surgical first assist during cesarean sections
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Ability to provide triage, labor management, delivery, discharge, and after-hours telephone triage services
