American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring surgical tele/open-heart experience, Epic proficiency, and a WA or compact RN license.

• Surgical Cardiac Telemetry unit caring for MI, primary arrhythmias, pre/post open-heart surgery, vascular surgery, coronary artery disease, heart failure, pre/post cath lab, and stroke patients with cardiac involvement
• Supports specialized structural heart patients including LVAD and TAVR cases
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:4, increasing to 1:5 at midnight
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to like units, including sister facilities within the region
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years surgical telemetry experience required, including open-heart and vascular (groin/radial band management)
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency with IV therapy, central line care, and PICC line management required
• Experience with blood and blood product administration required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of comparable specialty experience within the last 3 years required

• Perform dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardioversion/defibrillation, and epicardial pacer management
• Provide post-op care for open-heart and LVAD patients 24-28 hours post-surgery
• Administer breathing treatments, chest tube setup/care, CPAP/BiPAP, and trach care
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays:
  Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer requests may not be granted
• Local candidates accepted at lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former Providence system permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month separation and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
