Job DescriptionUW Medical Center-Montlake - has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse for our Pre Anesthesia / Pre Surgery Department.
WORK SCHEDULE- Days
- Evenings
- Weekends
- Per Diem/intermittent
Our Pre-Anesthesia Clinic RNs provide a complete assessment of the patient and address medical issues to reduce the risk of complications of anesthesia during surgery. Pre-op teaching is also part of the patient visit. The Pre-Anesthesia Clinic will complete assessments for 60+ patients/day which is done as a clinic visit, phone interview or a chart review. Nurses receive in depth specialty training to perform a complete pre-anesthesia evaluation
POSITION HIGHLINGTS- Assessment and nursing diagnosis of patients
- Care planning
- Patient teaching
- Discharge and transfer planning
- Admission, discharge and transfer processes
- 2 years current recent Critical Care experience, Emergency or PACU Phase I and/or Phase II
- PACU experience preferred.
- Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
- Active Washington State RN License or applicable Multistate RN license

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details Pay Range Minimum:$46.97 hourly
Pay Range Maximum:$86.17 hourly
Other Compensation:$5.00/hr nights $4.00/hr weekends $3.00/hr evenings $1.25/hr Nursing Certification $1.00/hr BSN Premium
