Every other weekend required. Must be willing to work 3 of 5 major holidays as requested.

Travel experience required; unit does not accept first-time travelers.

• 2 years of RN experience required.
• 2-3 years of telemetry experience preferred.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Clinical background in surgical telemetry with open-heart and vascular management.
• Strong IV skills.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Optional: VAD/LVAD and TAVR experience.

• Provide care for patients pre/post open-heart surgery, vascular surgery, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, heart failure, and strokes with cardiac involvement.
• Monitor patients in a telemetry setting, interpreting dysrhythmias and responding to changes in patient condition.
• Assess and manage chest tube care and sternal precautions for post-operative patients.
• Administer medication, including cardiac and vasoactive drips, and maintain IV access.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV team, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy.

Pre-approved time off: one request per posting. Candidates must float to like/sister units as required.
