Acute Care Float Pool Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) or Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

The Acute Care Float Pool Registered Nurse will provide care in various departments, including medical, surgical, medical telemetry, surgical telemetry, infusion, orthopedic, and neurosurgery. The role requires flexibility to float within the hospital and work on a schedule that includes weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care across multiple specialties, adapting quickly to different unit needs.
• Ensure adherence to patient care protocols, including medication administration and monitoring.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
• Manage intravenous therapies, including blood product administration and fluid management.
• Support patients in medical, surgical, and telemetry settings, maintaining a patient ratio of 1:5.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required.
• Experience in medical-surgical and telemetry settings preferred.
• Current BCLS certification required; CPI preferred.
• Experience with the EPIC charting system is mandatory.
• Ability to float within the hospital in accordance with nursing scope of practice.
