Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Seattle, WA | Acute Care

Contract | Days | Full-Time | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Onsite

• Provide direct nursing care in a high-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery unit serving a diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and community care clinic patients
• Circulate in the OR — required for all candidates
• Function as Baby Nurse during delivery and provide continued newborn care until transfer to postpartum, including eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments — required for all candidates
• Administer and monitor high-acuity medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Utilize electronic fetal monitoring and EPIC; staffing follows AWHONN guidelines
• Float to Postpartum and Antepartum units, as well as sister facilities that support Mother/Baby care, as needed

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 3–5 years of Labor and Delivery experience in a high-acuity, high-paced environment — no exceptions
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced clinical setting
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP — proof must be submitted at time of application
• Demonstrated ability to circulate in the OR and perform full newborn care (eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K injections, newborn assessments)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler; local candidates are accepted

• 5 or more years of high-risk Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred
• ACLS certification
• AWHONN Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate certification
• Experience with electronic fetal monitoring and EPIC EMR
