Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (L&D)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 4x12 hours (07:00 - 19:30). Must work every other weekend and holidays as needed.

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high acuity and fast-paced environments, particularly in high-risk scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Provide care during labor and delivery, including the role of Baby Nurse until transfer to postpartum.
• Perform immediate newborn assessments, including eye and thigh care, and administration of Vitamin K injections.
• Monitor and manage high-risk deliveries and complications during labor.
• Function within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately using the Epic charting system.
• Float to Antepartum and Postpartum units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Labor and Delivery with high-risk cases preferred.
• Current RN license (Compact license accepted).
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP; preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced.
• Strong references from previous supervisory roles required.
• Must pass clinical review prior to start.
