The Emergency Department Nurse provides nursing care to a defined group of patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, coordinating care with the healthcare team. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who excel in critical thinking and clinical judgment.

• Provide ongoing assessment of nursing care needs for a defined group of patients.
• Develop a written plan of care based on nursing diagnosis and patient needs.
• Assist patients and families in developing healthcare goals as part of the care plan.
• Determine priorities of patient care based on essential needs and available resources.
• Provide nursing interventions safely and competently.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care and interventions.
• Assess the needs of designated patients requiring hospitalization and initiate discharge planning.
• Identify patients' educational needs and develop educational components for nursing care plans.
• Promote patient self-care responsibility and implement preventive measures.
• Participate in continued education programs and nursing research to enhance practice.

• Associate's Degree (ADN) required

• Experienced level required

• Current RN License in Washington
• BLS certification required
