About This Role

The RN SPU Endoscopy Per Diem position involves providing nursing care to a defined group of patients, coordinating health care services, and collaborating with the health care team. This role is ideal for nurses with experience in Endoscopy, Special Procedures, and Conscious Sedation.

• Provide ongoing assessment of nursing care needs for a defined group of patients.
• Develop a written plan of care for patient care needs.
• Assist patients and families in developing health care goals.
• Determine priorities of patient care based on essential needs and resources.
• Provide nursing interventions safely and competently.
• Communicate with patients and families regarding interventions.
• Assess the needs of designated patients requiring hospitalization.
• Develop an educational component for each nursing care plan.
• Promote patient self-care responsibility for meeting health needs.
• Participate in continued education programs and professional activities.
