DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an RN for a Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum position requiring 2+ years of high-acuity postpartum experience and EPIC proficiency.
Details- Work in a large-volume, high-census Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum unit
- High-risk obstetric patient population with a diverse case mix
- Standard assignment is 4 couplets per nurse, with potential to manage a 4th couplet during census surges
- Day shift schedule, 3x12s or 4x12s (traveler's choice)
- Assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks (traveler's choice)
- Required to work 6 weekend days per contract
- Float required to Issaquah Campus Postpartum, Edmonds Campus Postpartum, and Labor & Delivery for the 2nd hour of recovery
- May also be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
- Current BLS and NRP certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- High-risk obstetric care experience required
- Experience with Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, Foley care, and postpartum hemorrhage management required
- Experience caring for patients with substance withdrawal required
- EPIC EMR experience required (hard requirement)
- Skills required include postpartum care following cesarean section and vaginal delivery, episiotomy/incision care, and fundus/lochia/perineum care
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Provide postpartum care to mothers and newborns, including couplet care management
- First-time travelers considered if they have at least 2 years of high-acuity postpartum experience in a high-volume facility with 1:4 couplet ratios
- Former Providence permanent staff must be separated for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Candidates who previously worked at any Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem) must disclose location and dates worked
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of application; requests after offer may not be accommodated
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- Candidates with Nursys or background check hits will not be accepted

In compliance with state pay transparency laws, we disclose that the estimated weekly pay range for this role is $2,509 - $2,788. The $2,788 weekly pay listed in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range.
