Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nurse opportunity in a healthcare facility. This position involves providing specialized care to critically ill pediatric patients in a unit with 6 beds and a daily census of 2-4. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric critical care, along with current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

The shift is scheduled for nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, beginning on 10/05/2026 and concluding on 01/04/2027.

• Schedule:
  
  Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, from 10/05/2026 to 01/04/2027.
• Required Qualifications:
  
  At least 2 years of pediatric critical care experience, current certifications in BLS and PALS, 2 years of experience preferred, valid compact state license in hand at submission.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  NRP and CRRT certification, experience with charting system Epic, experience in community hospital settings, prior travel experience, charge or leadership experience.
• Clinical Skills and Responsibilities:
  Accessing and managing ports, administration of blood and blood products, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line and vascular device management, CVP monitoring, CRRT, chest tube management, RSI procedures, trach care, wound assessment, pediatric dosage calculations, and use of specialized equipment.
• Unit Details:
  Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, and interpretation services. Typical patient population includes adolescents, infants, and pediatrics with daily census of 2-4 patients.
• Additional Requirements:
  
  Candidates should be able to float between nearby facilities if needed, with a requirement to work 3 of 5 major holidays. References covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years are required. Respond to specific submission questions regarding prior experience with Providence facilities.
