Travel RN - Mother Baby - Post Partum

American Traveler is hiring a Mother-Baby/Postpartum RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of high-acuity postpartum experience and Epic proficiency.

• Active WA state or compact RN license required, must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of postpartum RN experience required
• High-risk obstetric care experience required
• Experience with Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), and Foley catheter care required
• Postpartum hemorrhage and substance withdrawal care experience required
• Epic EMR experience required (hard requirement)
• JADA experience preferred
• Skills required include postpartum care following cesarean section and vaginal delivery, episiotomy/incision care, and fundus/lochia/perineum care
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required, may include Charge RNs/Leads

• Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Postpartum unit in a large volume, high census facility with high-risk obstetric patients
• Diverse patient population receiving postpartum treatment following delivery
• Standard couplet assignment is 4 couplets per nurse, with potential census surges requiring management of a 4th couplet
• Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 hours (traveler's choice), 19:00-7:30
• Assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks (traveler's choice)
• Required to work 6 weekend days per contract
• Float required to Issaquah Campus Postpartum, Edmonds Campus Postpartum, and Labor and Delivery for the 2nd hour of recovery
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Provide comprehensive postpartum nursing care including medication administration and monitoring for complications
• First-time travelers accepted if they have at least 2 years of high-acuity postpartum experience in high-volume facilities with a minimum 1:4 couplet ratio
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities as a permanent employee, travel contractor, or per-diem staff, including location and dates
• Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process; minimal RTO is preferred
• Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius may be accepted at a lower bill rate
