Part‑Time Associate Veterinarian – Madison Park Veterinary Hospital

Position Overview

You will provide high‑quality veterinary care in a predictable, part‑time schedule, maintaining patient care continuity while supporting the local hospital team.

Key Responsibilities

• Comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups
• Client communication and education
• Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Pharmacy duties, including prescribing medications and following controlled‑substance protocols
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency
• Work with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations
• Evaluate and monitor protocols for daily hospital operations from intake to discharge
• Monitor cases in the hospital and attend daily rounds when possible
• Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications (Required)

• Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university
• Current State Veterinary License
• DEA registration, obtained and maintained
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
• Excellent surgical and dental skills
• Ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to providing compassionate and high‑quality care
• Client communication skills, including rapport building and clear explanations
• Confidence and reassurance when dealing with stressed pets
• Ability to perform occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
• Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds

• Advanced clinical knowledge in cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological, and other examinations
• Problem‑solving ability for managing a high‑quality veterinary hospital
• Clear communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients and staff

• Business acumen regarding hospital operations and finances
• Knowledge of ethical principles guiding patient decisions
• Commitment to continuing education and mentoring peers

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary prorated for part‑time hours, based on experience
• Signing and retention incentives up to $50,000

Pay Range $130,000 – $160,000 USD (full‑time equivalent)
