Part‑Time Associate Veterinarian – Madison Park Veterinary Hospital

Position Overview
You will provide high‑quality veterinary care in a predictable, part‑time schedule, maintaining patient care continuity while supporting the local hospital team.
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups
- Client communication and education
- Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Pharmacy duties, including prescribing medications and following controlled‑substance protocols
- Promote teamwork and staff efficiency
- Work with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations
- Evaluate and monitor protocols for daily hospital operations from intake to discharge
- Monitor cases in the hospital and attend daily rounds when possible
- Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications (Required)
- Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university
- Current State Veterinary License
- DEA registration, obtained and maintained
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent surgical and dental skills
- Ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate and high‑quality care
- Client communication skills, including rapport building and clear explanations
- Confidence and reassurance when dealing with stressed pets
- Ability to perform occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Advanced clinical knowledge in cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological, and other examinations
- Problem‑solving ability for managing a high‑quality veterinary hospital
- Clear communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients and staff
- Professionalism and constructive feedback skills
- Business acumen regarding hospital operations and finances
- Knowledge of ethical principles guiding patient decisions
- Commitment to continuing education and mentoring peers
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary prorated for part‑time hours, based on experience
- Signing and retention incentives up to $50,000

Pay Range $130,000 – $160,000 USD (full‑time equivalent)
