Timberline Veterinary Emergency and Specialty (TVES) is a rapidly growing, locally owned 24-hr emergency and specialty hospital located in Seattle, WA. Founded by Dr. Beth Davidow (DACVECC), Dr. Laura Ahlgrim and Dr. Chris Bailey. We currently have two Critical Care Specialists, Surgery, Oncology, 6 day a week ultrasound coverage, along with a close relationship with a clinical pathologist (located inside of our building) and mobile cardiology service. We are actively completing a prospective randomized clinical trial involving cats with urethral obstruction and are excited about designing and completing future clinical trials. We are located in a newly renovated 21,000 sq ft hospital in North Seattle, with a 128 slice CT scanner, high flow oxygen, ventilator and mature community driven blood bank.

We are looking for an emergency veterinarian to join our emergency and ICU team of two criticalists, 9 full-time emergency DVMs and our talented LVTs and VTS staff. This role involves primary case management through our emergency service and comfort managing a high caseload with a variety of stable and unstable patients. We have a strong culture of “yes we can help you” for our referring veterinarians and clients and work to provide exceptional veterinary medicine for our patients.

The ideal candidate would be excited to be working at a fast pace in emergency and ICU, would have strong emergency surgical skill, experience managing critical patients, and be excited to contribute to a positive work environment. We are looking for an individual that loves to learn and is constantly challenging and changing practices based on new evidence.

The position requires a variety of shifts, including swings and overnight shifts. Overnight shifts are shared amongst all emergency veterinarians at Timberline.

• The compensation for this role is a combination of shift pay and quarterly production of 22% in excess of your shift pay.

• Paid time off:
  Time off accrues at 0.06 hours per scheduled hour worked up to 40 hours per week. This is approximately 3.5 weeks of true paid time away from the hospital each year.
• Unlimited continuing education online courses and conference registration fees with prior approval and based on schedule and time off availability.
• $2500 per year and an additional 2 days of PTO for continuing education. This money and time can be used for seminars, journals, books, or medical equipment and can be carried over for one year.
• Payment for JVECCs, WSVMA, and AVMA dues.
• Payment for DEA and Washington State License.
