Summary of the Role

As a Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing quality assurance measures in the logistic process, ensuring adherence to industry standards and specifications. Your role will involve managing a team, conducting inspections, and implementing corrective actions to uphold and improve product quality in accordance with organizational objectives.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality standards:
    Establish and maintain quality control standards and procedures.
  • Inspection and testing:
    Oversee the inspection and testing of materials, parts, or finished products.
  • Quality audits:
    Conduct regular quality audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance.
  • Team management:
    Manage and lead a team providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Process improvement:
    Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Documentation and record keeping:
    Maintain accurate records of quality control activities and corrective actions.
  • Root cause analysis:
    Investigate and analyze the root causes of quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions to address underlying problems.
  • Continuous monitoring:
    Implement systems for continuous monitoring of quality metrics and key performance indicators, providing regular reports.
  • Training programs:
    Develop and implement training programs for employees to ensure understanding and adherence to quality control standards and procedures.
  • Regulatory compliance:
    Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications.
  • Collaboration:

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements.
  • Data analysis:
    Utilize statistical tools and data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and improvements.
  • Quality culture promotion:
    Foster a culture of quality consciousness throughout the organization.
  • Communication:
    Communicate quality objectives, issues, and improvements effectively to all relevant stakeholders.
Education and Experience
  • A bachelors degree in a relevant field such as quality management, engineering, industrial management, or a related discipline is required.
Experience
  • Quality management experience:
    At least 7 years of experience in quality management, quality control, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership experience:
    Proven experience in leading and managing a quality control team.
  • AS9100 auditor experience required.

Compensation and Benefits

The financial compensation offered to the candidate may be based on geographical location, work experience and/or skill level. Additions to the compensation package, including but not limited to paid time off, insurance benefits and 401(k) eligibility, will be outlined at the time of the job offer.

Compensation range: $100,000 - $145,000
