Construction Quality Control Manager
Job Description
The Quality Control Manager (QCM) will play a pivotal role in supporting a $25M street improvement project involving water, storm, retaining walls, and roadway construction. This role is responsible for implementing and managing all quality control activities in accordance with contract requirements and owner standards.
Responsibilities
+ Develop, implement, and maintain the Construction Quality Management Plan (CQMP).
+ Plan and perform quality audits of construction activities, subcontractors, and suppliers.
+ Attend progress meetings and quality meetings with the owner and project team.
+ Review and approve Inspection & Deficiency Reports (IDRs).
+ Issue, track, and resolve Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs).
+ Manage and coordinate QC Inspectors to ensure adequate inspection coverage.
+ Coordinate with Independent Testing Laboratories for materials testing and inspections.
+ Track recurring quality issues and implement preventive measures.
+ Perform and lead root cause analysis for non‑conforming work.
+ Monitor and close out Corrective and Preventive Action Plans.
+ Ensure work complies with contract documents, plans, and specifications.
Essential Skills
+ 10 years of experience as a QCM, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or Quality Supervisor.
+ 5 years of experience as a QCM on projects of a comparable size or scope.
+ Civil Construction experience with at least two of the following scopes:
Water, Storm, Walls (retaining walls or Sound mitigation walls), and street improvements.
+ Experience in Public Works Projects.
+ Proficiency in construction quality management, construction management, and quality control.
+ Familiarity with Procore, design-build projects, and transit systems.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to work directly with Owner Representatives and Engineers.
+ Highly organized with strong documentation discipline.
+ Comfortable enforcing quality standards.
+ Ability to lead without direct authority.
Work Environment
The role primarily involves spending the majority of time at the Sound Transit Project site in Shoreline. Occasional reporting to the main office is required. The company fosters a family-oriented culture with growth potential, offering consistent work due to numerous ongoing projects.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Shoreline, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
Medical w/HSA program 100% employee coverage & 50% for dependents begins the first of the month after their hire date. 401K plan 3% matching (depending on company performance) starts 90 days after employment. 8 days of PTO 7 paid holidays in addition to PTO. Bonus program; this depends on the company's yearly financial performance.
