About the Role

You’ll lead the quality management system for an established aerospace company serving major OEMs and defense contractors. You’ll oversee all certifications and approvals including AS9100, Nadcap, FAA Repair Station, and ensure quality systems are maintained.

This is a development role for people who want to move into senior leadership. You’ll work closely with the VP of Engineering and Quality, receive structured mentorship, and gain exposure to how the broader business operates.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a quality team, including performance reviews and development
  • Manage internal and external audits and maintain certification schedules
  • Lead corrective action processes and track findings to completion
  • Monitor quality metrics and work with operations to address trends
  • Maintain documentation, calibration systems, and quality procedures
  • Serve as FAA Repair Responsible Manager for repair station oversight
  • Communicate with customers on quality concerns and issues
  • Support new business onboarding and process reviews
  • Develop and deliver quality training programs
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for quality processes
What We’re Looking For
  • Hands‑on knowledge of AS9100, Nadcap, or FAR Part 145
  • Proven experience leading a quality team or owning a quality function
  • Strong skills in running audits and managing findings through resolution
  • Ability to keep documentation current and compliant with standards
  • Ownership mentality and bias toward action when solving problems
  • Ability to communicate effectively across operations, executives, customers, and auditors
  • Commitment to developing people and building trust across the organization
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or quality‑related certification (CQA, ASQ, etc.)
  • 7+ years of relevant quality experience
  • Working knowledge of AS9100, Nadcap, and/or FAR Part 145
  • Demonstrated experience leading or owning a quality function
  • ERP system experience
  • Ability to obtain Lead Auditor certification
