QA Lab Technician (2nd Shift)
Our client, a leading food manufacturing organization dedicated to quality and safety, is seeking a QA Lab Technician to join their team. As a QA Lab Technician, you will be part of the Quality Assurance department supporting various quality functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Location:
Seattle, WA
Pay Range: $29
Shift: 2nd - M-F, 5:30 pm - 3:00 am, weekends as needed
What's the Job?
- Perform quality tests and inspections on raw materials, in-process, and finished products to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Conduct line audits, case checks, and finished product testing, including timely sampling and reporting of results.
- Support troubleshooting operational issues and provide coaching to team members to uphold quality protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation, record keeping, and file management related to quality activities.
- Lead plant inspections such as GMP, pre-op, and safety checks, and support allergen changeover testing and vendor quality issues.
What's Needed?
- College diploma or 4 years of relevant experience in food manufacturing, with microbiology background preferred.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow laboratory and physical testing protocols.
- Proficiency with laboratory equipment, Microsoft Office, and SAP software.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards, GMP practices, and quality assurance procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle high-speed tasks, and work overtime or on weekends as required.
