As a product safety & quality advisor, senior on the Food Safety Governance team, you will provide subject matter expertise, program management, governance facilitation, and audit execution support across the full program lifecycle. The work begins with facilitating the creation or harmonization of global minimum supplier standards, then building an internal audit program to verify implementation, executing audits across markets, communicating results to stakeholders, and monitoring progress to ensure identified gaps are closed.

The ideal candidate brings strong supplier management experience, can evaluate food safety programs using standards, procedures, objective evidence, corrective actions, and performance data, and is already certified—or able to become certified within six months of hire—as an FSSC 22000 Lead Auditor.

• Lead the development and harmonization of global minimum supplier standards, aligning requirements across markets, regulatory environments, and company- and licensee-managed operating models in partnership with regional and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Translate supplier standards into a scalable global internal audit program, establishing audit methodology, tools, governance, and reporting while executing risk-based supplier audits against company requirements, regulatory expectations, and FSSC 22000-aligned principles.
• Drive supplier risk management and continuous improvement by communicating audit findings and systemic trends, monitoring and verifying corrective actions, escalating high-risk gaps, and incorporating evolving regulatory, GFSI, and FSSC 22000 expectations.

Education:

General Science (4 years), Food Safety, Microbiology, Environmental/Public Health or Food Science Degree

• Ability to prepare clear and concise verbal, written, and visual presentations for leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to balance complex projects and priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to think creatively.
• Strong problem-solving skills. Addresses problems constructively and takes action to resolve.
• Strong quantitative and analytical ability.
• Understands partnership culture with ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP Principles, GFSI schemes.
• 5 years minimum experience in specific field or utilizing designated skills.

• Experience in food technology, food science, manufacturing, equipment, quality assurance, microbiology, food safety or R&D.
• Food Safety Certifications, such as safe food handling, sanitation, PCQI, HACCP, etc.
• Prior auditing experience.
• Lean 6-sigma certification.
