Role DescriptionThe Property Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Seattle, WA, responsible for the day-to-day operations of one or more LIHI properties. Key tasks include overseeing lease administration, rent collection, move-ins and move-outs, and enforcing property rules and regulations in alignment with LIHI policies and fair housing laws. The role involves coordinating maintenance and repairs, conducting regular property inspections, and ensuring that units and common areas are safe, clean, and well-maintained.
The Property Manager works closely with residents to address concerns, support housing stability, and connect residents with onsite or partner supportive services when appropriate. Additional responsibilities include managing budgets, preparing reports, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to meet organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Property management and operations skills, including lease administration, rent collection, unit turnover coordination, and vendor management.
- Knowledge of affordable housing regulations, fair housing laws, and compliance with local, state, and federal housing policies.
- Resident relations and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, resolve conflicts, and support diverse populations, including low-income and formerly homeless residents.
- Organizational and administrative skills, including recordkeeping, report preparation, basic budgeting, and proficiency with property management software and office tools.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in nonprofit, social services, or affordable housing settings is highly beneficial. Ability to work on-site in Seattle, WA, including occasional evening or weekend hours as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, social services, or related field preferred.
