The Ngodup Laboratory at the Virginia Merrill Bloedel Hearing Research Center and the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Scholar. Our lab investigates the molecular, cellular, and synaptic mechanisms underlying auditory processing in the auditory brainstem.
We use a wide range of multidisciplinary approaches, including slice electrophysiology, in vivo single-unit recordings, RNA sequencing, advanced imaging techniques, and stereotaxic viral approaches in mouse models. The postdoctoral scholar will be involved in experimental design, data collection, analysis, and publication of research findings, while working both independently and collaboratively within the lab.
The Virginia Merrill Bloedel Hearing Research Center at the University of Washington provides a vibrant and collaborative research environment in auditory and vestibular neuroscience, with access to the broader UW neuroscience community.
QualificationsRequired Candidates should have recently obtained or be nearing completion of a Ph.D. degree in neuroscience or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with patch-clamp electrophysiology and mouse work.
