Translational Pharmacology Senior Research Associate
Role
Summary:
Translational Pharmacology team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Associate. This role involves conducting a wide range of rodent in vivo techniques, in vivo model development, and plate-based assays to support translational research and drug development. The candidate should have hands‑on experience with animal handling, a wide range of in vivo techniques, immunoassays, and immunophenotyping. The position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask while working in a highly collaborative environment.
KeyDuties and Responsibilities
- Perform and develop rodent in vivo studies.
- Conduct dosing (IV, IP, PO, SC, IM, IT), blood sampling, functional/behavioral testing, tissue harvest/processing, and data recording.
- Provide study support with ear tagging, randomizing, coordination of activities, monitoring animal health, and assist with treatment of animals.
- Perform bioassays including flow cytometry and serum cytokine/Ig analysis (ELISA/MSD).
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize techniques based on discussions with supervisor and colleagues.
- Collect, analyze, interpret, and communicate experimental data.
- Ensure that a complete and timely record of experiments and in vivo activities are maintained in an electronic lab notebook adhering to company guidelines and policies.
- Work with colleagues to maintain laboratory/vivarium in good working order as well as upholding standards of safety.
- Master's degree (or equivalent) and 0-2 years experience in analytical development or other analytical support functions, or
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 4+ years of experience in analytical development or other analytical support functions.
- Demonstrated experience in standard in vivo techniques, including all common dose routes, necropsies, and anesthesia (both injectable and inhalant).
- Experience with rodent immunization models.
- Experience with execution and data analysis of multi‑parameter flow cytometry, single‑parameter and multiplexed cytokine and serum Ig assays.
- Willingness to learn other in vivo and in vitro techniques as needed.
- Experience working in a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team that is timeline‑driven and result‑oriented.
- Experience in using electronic lab notebooks.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in common software and data analysis packages such as Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook), Graph Pad Prism, and Flow Jo.
- Must comply with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal Welfare Act and associated regulations and standards, the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, AAALAC accreditation standards, and IACUC guidelines.
$38-$42/HR
