Research Scientist V — Seattle, WA

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute assays supporting antibody discovery and research programs.
  • Perform hands‑on laboratory experiments involving antibodies, recombinant proteins, and mammalian cell cultures.
  • Follow established laboratory workflows, including sample preparation, instrument operation, and data collection.
  • Conduct protein binding and characterization studies using relevant analytical techniques.
  • Accurately document experimental procedures, observations, and results in electronic lab notebooks.
  • Author and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other laboratory documentation.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data to support project objectives.
  • Present results, insights, and recommendations at team and project meetings.
  • Maintain high standards of laboratory organization, data quality, and scientific rigor.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional research teams to advance scientific initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
  • 3–10 years of industry experience in antibody discovery, protein research, or related R&D environments.
  • Hands‑on experience working with antibodies and/or recombinant proteins.
  • Experience performing protein binding assays such as SPR, BLI, ELISA, or similar techniques.
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture, including cell lines such as HEK
    293 or CHO.
  • Knowledge of protein purification and characterization methods.
  • Strong laboratory documentation skills, including electronic lab notebooks and SOP development.
  • Ability to independently execute experiments, analyze results, and communicate findings effectively.
  • Experience with laboratory automation platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with develop ability, functional, or drug discovery‑related antibody assays is preferred.
Pay Range
  • Pay range for this position is $70.61 to $75.61 per hour. Compensation will vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. This rate is subject to change.
