The Institute for Disease Modeling (IDM) is an embedded research institute within the Gates Foundation, developing computational modeling tools to support global efforts to eradicate infectious diseases.

• Supports the malaria, polio, and immunization portfolios at the Foundation
• Develops strategic analytic and modeling products to inform investments for maximum impact on global health
• Conducts independent scientific research relating to relevant Foundation global health strategies
• Collaborates with a wide ecosystem of partners, including universities, NGOs, government ministries, and other research organizations
• Works with regional country offices (RCOs) to support their goals with respect to malaria, polio, and immunization strategies

The ideal candidate should have a PhD degree in modeling of infectious disease, infectious disease epidemiology, malaria epidemiology, or similar, with a demonstrated track record of success in complex, multi-disciplinary environments.
