- Develop scientific skills appropriate for a postdoctoral training position
- Carry out research and development activities supporting projects to identify mechanisms or protective immunity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis
- Translate research findings into the rationale design of an effective vaccine
- Develop and review protocols
- Collect and analyze data
- Prepare manuscripts and fellowship applications
- Train in the conduct of immunology and infectious disease research
- Doctorate degree (PhD/DVM/MD) in specialty area from an accredited university training program
- Experience using basic research techniques of specialty area
- Previous experience conducting research in the pediatric arena (preferred)
- Experience in protocol and manuscript development and in grant writing (preferred)
Demonstrates expertise in immunology and infectious disease research, with a strong focus on developing effective vaccine strategies against Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Proficient in research protocol development, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
