Vitality Bowls specializes in making delicious açaí bowls, a thick blend of the açaí berry topped with organic granola and a selection of superfood ingredients. Additional antioxidant-rich menu items include smoothies, juices, salads and more. No ingredient fillers such as ice, frozen yogurt, or artificial preservatives are used, giving the purest taste possible to each item.

Responsibilities
  • Act as manager when manager is unavailable
  • In charge of shifts and delegating tasks
  • Restock the register nightly for the correct change
  • Take deposits to the bank several times a week and maintain an accurate count of petty cash
  • Assist with managing inventory and placing orders
  • Assist in writing the schedule and collecting information from employees about schedule issues
  • Lead the team, making sure food is made accurately and taken to customers in a timely manner
  • Show exemplary knowledge of the job and excellent customer service
  • Deal with upset customers/problems with food in a polite way, making sure the customer is happy
  • Accept deliveries, ensuring they are complete and correct or issuing refunds when necessary
  • Communicate with managers/owners about inventory status, deliveries, orders, and low stock
  • Communicate with managers/owners about employees' strengths, dependability, and customer service
  • Manage the break schedule, ensuring employees are on time and take appropriate breaks
  • Attend Management Meetings
  • Share new ideas to improve efficiency, safety, and recipe ideas
  • Assist with interviews, evaluations, and training
  • Explain training material and health benefits of ingredients and food to customers in an upbeat manner
  • Keep the front lobby and outside area clean
  • Provide excellent customer service, including being positive, polite, and informative, and give accurate wait times
  • Assist and ring up guests, answer phone calls and take orders over the phone
  • Have thorough knowledge of the food and recipes; follow recipes and prepare food in a timely and sanitary manner
  • Prep food according to proper procedures
  • Continuously and thoroughly clean the kitchen and lobby
  • Put away deliveries and keep everything organized
  • Wash dishes and put away
  • Communicate with staff to ensure orders are made correctly and on time
  • Carry out food to customers
  • Show up on time and take breaks for the appropriate length of time
  • Complete all opening and closing duties
  • Perform additional tasks requested by management and follow sanitation guidelines
  • Stock and rotate food
  • Adhere to safety procedures
  • Practice cost-cutting measures
  • Pitch in and work as a team
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers
  • Become food certified
  • Handle basic computer operations and POS system; handle cash and credit cards
  • Follow health, sanitary, and safety requirements
  • Stand for long periods, lift heavy boxes occasionally, move quickly, and maintain a sense of urgency
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance
  • Come to work with a positive attitude and work well with others
  • Leadership abilities and management experience are a plus
Qualifications
  • Restaurant experience is a plus
  • Must be able to manage inventory, schedules, and cash handling
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to train and evaluate staff
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain food quality and sanitation
