Job Description

Location: Store #721187, 4457 Fauntleroy Way SW, Seattle, WA 98126.

Role Type: Part‑Time, Pay Starting at $22.00 Hourly. New Store – Opening Soon. This role may require training shifts at multiple locations and prefers bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.

Store Associates work closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin‑Williams products, recommend the right solutions, resolve concerns promptly, and maintain the high quality and visual standards of the store. Associates are tasked with achieving excellent customer service while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals.

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value. The company conducts a criminal history review to protect the safety of its customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors and the general public.

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services
• Build productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers
• Process sales transactions accurately and consistently with policies and procedures
• Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
• Maintain precise work order files and formulas
• Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse
• Tint and mix products, as needed, to customer specifications
• Stock shelves and set up displays
• Clean store equipment
• Load/unload delivery trucks
• Assist in making deliveries, as needed
• Maintain in‑stock and presentable condition of assigned areas
• Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
• Comply with inventory control procedures
• Suggest ways to improve sales

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for a work visa now or in the future
• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license
• Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
• Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
• If internal to Sherwin‑Williams, must have received at least a “meets expectations” (3) rating on the most recent performance appraisal
• If internal to Sherwin‑Williams, must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for the current position

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer‑service position
• Experience selling paint and paint‑related products
• Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
• Proficiency in Spanish

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each position and may vary within the stated wage range. The wage range for this role starts at $22.00 per hour and is accurate as of the posting date. Additional benefits include health benefits (prescription savings and virtual physician visits), retirement plans, paid vacation, paid sick leave, and paid military leave in accordance with Washington state and Seattle city regulations.
