Create exceptional customer experiences by answering questions, recommending the appropriate items to complete construction and home improvement projects, and maintaining the facility in a clean and organized fashion. Lead assigned department and assist with any issues that may arise.

• Demonstrate a high level of safety awareness to ensure you, your peers, our customers, and suppliers remain safe while in our facilities.
• Understand and follow the TAL PPE requirements as outlined in the TAL PPE Matrix by wearing the required PPE at all times and ensure your team does the same.
• In conjunction with the branch leadership, responsible for the operational performance of their assigned department.
• Understand and maintain quality store presentation as outlined in the TAL Store Standards document.
• Sets ambitious sales and margin goals. Strategically develops department team and customer base to meet or exceed agreed upon sales and margin goals.
• Assists customers with product information, selection, and purchase. Offers solutions for out-of-stock items.
• Maintains department inventory, including cycle counts, to maximize sales and inventory turn.
• Assists in training department and store personnel in your assigned functions, including sales and customer service techniques.
• Empowered to direct the work of others by assigning tasks, creating schedules, communicating priorities, and motivating the team.
• Upholds the highest level of customer service to ensure an exceptional experience for our contractors, Do It Yourselfers, and homeowners.
• In-depth understanding of the products in your department and basic knowledge of the merchandise in other departments.
