Retail Sales Associate

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for accurately ringing up and selling products efficiently. The Retail Sales Associate should be comfortable approaching guests to offer services and sell products. Additionally, the associate must be willing to help coworkers complete tasks.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale system.
• Respond to guest needs and requests, using suggestive and upselling techniques, and maintain service areas.
• Complete steps of service to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Understand and describe menu offerings, packaging/presentation, and pricing.
• Employ good safety and sanitation practices.
• Follow cash handling and tip reporting guidelines.
• Maintain the stand sheet with inventory responsibilities.
• Adhere to Tecerra company guidelines as stated in training manuals and employee handbook.
• Complete station set-up and breakdown responsibilities thoroughly.
• Communicate guest issues to management.
• Follow responsible alcohol service policies.
• Practice proper product control and handling of inventory and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Stand for long periods and actively engage with guests physically.
• Be able to reach with hands and arms for a significant portion of the shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• React with alertness in emergency situations.
• Demonstrate stamina and agility to be mobile throughout the day.
• Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Move easily and quickly between sitting and standing.

Job Requirements / Skills

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have and maintain a valid Washington State Food Handlers Permit.
