Amazon One Medical is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) for our Senior Health division in Amazon One Medical. Finance is critical to the success in our mission. We see the entire picture, and are a cornerstone to driving the right investments, maintaining controllership, and distilling down the right stories to push our business forward.

The SFA will be responsible for several important work streams as we drive the financial health, investments and internal operations of One Medical. We are looking for leaders that have finance and healthcare experience to support our internal and external partnerships, continue to build and enhance our Senior Health operations, or take on FP&A work streams.

Key job responsibilities
  • Monthly and quarterly close, forecasting, planning and analytics. Reporting, including gathering, manipulating, analyzing, and exporting/importing data from internal data warehouse and payer provider portals, as well as providing variance analyses and report out to leadership
  • Partner with the business and finance leaders to develop long‑term strategies and new initiatives to delight our customers
  • Partner with Business Intelligence, Science and Fin Tech to implement data driven reporting, and driver‑based forecasting solutions.
  • Submission of all key OP plans and quarterly guidance. Maintain accuracy in Cognos, Roster, and Assembly.
  • Detailed tracking and planning of head count and OPEX allocations and variance analysis drivers.
A day in the life

Potentially work on:

  • Membership strategies for retention and expansion
  • Own and update W  metrics across the Senior Health business
  • Reconciliation models for eligibility records and payments
  • FP&A work streams and mechanisms
  • Deep dive modeling for KPIs of value based care
  • Data Consolidation During Planning Cycles
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or Bachelor's degree

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

  • 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

  • 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience

  • Experience with cube engine tools (e.g. TM1, Cognos or Essbase), SQL and Data warehouse

Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of Tableau

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
