Job Title:
Sales Clerk Leader – Uniforms

Employment Type:
Full‑Time, 30‑40 hrs/week
Salary: $22.06 per hour

Responsibilities- Welcome customers, maintain product knowledge, and assist with merchandise selection.
- Provide outstanding customer service, respond promptly to customer concerns.
- Manage overall operations of the sale department, including ordering, receiving, pricing and monitoring stock levels.
- Assist store management with pricing changes, markdowns, promotional sets, and signage.
- Communicate with headquarters regarding special orders and merchandise issues.
- Train employees on cash register and front‑end duties and provide input on employee evaluations.
- Operate cash register, accept cash, checks, credit cards, and prepare change funds.
- Collect and verify cash receipts, compare register tapes with Daily Activity Report, investigate discrepancies, and maintain cash overage/shortage records.
- Secure change fund, safe, and cash registers.
- Open and close the store as required.
- Supervise other employees and be fully responsible for the store in the absence of management.
- Follow all loss‑prevention policies and be proactive regarding shrink and alert line.
- Follow all established safety standards and emergency preparedness requirements.
- Work weekends as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Prior retail experience in inventory control and retail sales.
- Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds, standing for long periods.
Preferred:
- Experience operating a cash register and working knowledge of sales inventory.
- Previous retail supervisory experience in similar duties.
- Current USCG NAF sales clerk with at least six months experience.
