Location:
Seattle, WA (Exchange).
Schedule:
Full-Time, 30–40 hours per week.
Sales Clerk Leader – Uniforms. Salary $22.06 per hour.
Responsibilities- Welcome customers, maintain product knowledge and assist with selection of merchandise.
- Respond promptly to customer concerns and provide outstanding service.
- Operate the cash register: accept cash, checks, credit cards, verify and issue change, collect receipts, and compare register tapes with the Daily Activity Report.
- Prepare and maintain cash overage/shortage records; control the security of change funds, safe, and cash registers.
- Manage overall operations of the sale department, including ordering merchandise, receiving, pricing, monitoring stock levels, and managing price changes, markdowns, promotional sets and signage.
- Communicate with HQ staff regarding special order requests and merchandise issues at store level.
- Assist store management in training employees on all front‑end duties and provide input on employee evaluations.
- Serve as the key carrier for opening and closing the store as required.
- Direct or supervise other employees and maintain store operations in the absence of management.
- Follow loss‑prevention policies and monitor shrink prevention and alert line.
- Follow all safety standards and emergency preparedness requirements.
- Work weekends as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum
- Prior retail experience in inventory control and retail sales.
- Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds; ability to stand for long periods.
Preferred (in addition to minimum)
- Experience operating a cash register and sales inventory knowledge.
- Previous retail supervisory experience performing the above duties.
- Current USCG NAF sales clerk with at least 6 months experience.
- Residency Requirement:
Non‑U.S. nationals authorized to work in the U.S. must have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territories for at least three of the last five years. - Participation in Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer as standard payroll method.
- Proficiency in completing a Federal background check and all pre‑employment requirements, including drug testing and security clearances.
