We are hiring a full-time Assistant Store Manager in Training for our Ballard location who has energy, enthusiasm, maturity, and great customer service skills. Starting pay is $24 -$30/hour with sales bonuses, paid time off, great employee discounts, 401(K) retirement plan with matching, free ORCA card, medical/dental/vision insurance, pet insurance, and opportunity for advancement.

Job requirements are:

• a sincere desire to help companion animals
• 2+ years of retail management experience
• prior retail or customer service experience
• prior pet industry experience preferred
• excellent verbal and written communication skills
• basic computer and math computation skills
• ability to work with others as a team
• ability to lift and carry 40 lbs without strain
• ability to stand continuously for 2 – 3 hours at a time
• ability to bend, stoop, kneel and reach upwardly or overhead
• available to work shifts to meet the needs of the store, including evenings and weekends
