Athletics Administration Assistant

This position's responsibilities are to assist the District Director of Athletics and acts as a liaison between schools, the Athletic Office, WIAA and the Metro Athletic Conference. This position works with school staff to deliver and monitor compliance with District guidelines, WIAA and league rules and regulations, and provides support and back-up to the Director of Athletics for the operational and day-to-day management of the Athletic Office.

Typical Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience working with, directing, or managing athletic programs; five (5) years of experience working with, directing, or managing athletic programs in an urban educational setting preferred;
  Bachelor's Degree in Athletic, Recreational Administration, Sports Management, Education or a related field;
  Masters in Sports and Health Sciences or M.Ed. in Educational Leadership preferred; or an equivalent of education and experience.
• Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the relevant knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the work will be considered.
• DESIRED CERTIFICATION & LICENSES:
  Valid Washington State Driver's License or evidence of equivalent mobility

  Criminal Justice Fingerprint and Background Check
