Overview
Location: Pacific Northwest (with strong focus on Oregon & Washington)
Territory averages about $5-8M YOY
Responsibilities- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with distributors, internal sales teams, and the Regional Sales Manager to identify and target key end-user accounts. Develop and implement an annual sales plan with specific revenue targets for each distributor and product category.
- Revenue Growth: Design and execute strategies to increase territory revenue and achieve assigned sales targets.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with distributors and end-users, aiming to secure a larger share of distributor business and drive growth.
- End-User Engagement: Jointly develop and implement growth strategies with distributor partners. Plan and conduct Finishing Tune-Ups to identify areas for improvement and showcase Binks’ solutions.
- Product Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge of all products to enhance sales effectiveness and offer value-added solutions.
- Training and Support: Train and develop distributor personnel to ensure competency in serving customers and promoting Binks’ products. Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for users and distributors.
- Market Analysis: Utilize market segment analysis and Time and Territory management principles to develop targeted strategies.
- Event Participation: Represent Binks at trade shows, engaging with attendees, explaining product features, and addressing inquiries.
- Budget Management: Develop, submit, and adhere to an annual travel and entertainment budget.
- Associates degree or equivalent experience with 3+ years in industrial sales, including successful management of distributor and end-user relationships
- Experience selling spray finishing equipment used across various industries, with automotive being the most relevant.
- Understanding of paint and solvent properties, and experience with relevant test equipment.
- Proficiency with basic tools, office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and CRM systems.
- Strong mathematical skills for calculating discounts, margins, and ROI.
- Excellent presentation skills with experience in teaching or public speaking.
- Ability to read and interpret technical data, blueprints, and charts.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time. Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the designated territory.
