Position Summary:
The Senior Client Partner – Retail Domain at Mastech Digital is a strategic, hybrid sales role requiring a proven blend of hunting and farming capabilities. You will be responsible for acquiring new retail clients while also expanding and nurturing existing strategic accounts. This role demands a strong ability to initiate CXO-level relationships, identify client challenges, and align Mastech Digital’s capabilities to deliver measurable business outcomes.
You will partner with internal delivery and pre-sales teams to ensure end-to-end success—from initial opportunity creation through solution delivery and long-term relationship management.
Key ResponsibilitiesNew Business Development (Hunting):
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the retail domain, targeting Fortune 1000 and mid-market clients.
- Drive prospecting efforts, lead generation, and pipeline development in alignment with strategic growth goals.
- Engage retail industry decision-makers and influencers, positioning Mastech Digital’s capabilities in Data, Digital, and Customer Experience.
- Lead full-cycle deal management using Mastech Digital’s Deal Pursuit Framework — from account intelligence to solutioning, proposals, presentations, and contract closure.
Account Expansion & Relationship Management (Farming):
- Own and grow existing retail client relationships, focusing on increasing share-of-wallet and expanding service lines.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with executive stakeholders across IT and business units.
- Monitor account health, client satisfaction, and delivery performance, collaborating with internal teams to ensure excellence in execution.
- Proactively identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities aligned with clients digital transformation and data strategies.
- 10+ years of experience in consultative selling of Data Analytics, Data Management, or Data Engineering solutions, preferably within the retail domain.
- Demonstrated ability to both generate new business (hunter) and grow existing accounts (farmer) in a complex enterprise sales environment.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding annual sales quotas through both net new wins and account growth
