Eaton’s North American Sales Division is seeking a Lead Sales Engineer – Industrial for its West Region team. Locations include Pleasanton, CA, Tukwila, WA, and Boise,  assistance is available for candidates who live more than 50 miles from the assigned location.

What will you do?
  • Build and own relationships with key customers and channel partners to enhance long‑term business prospects.
  • Learn and understand business models to own, develop and execute sales plans to meet performance expectations.
  • Collaborate with and leverage Channel to execute business objectives.
  • Canvas the market to gain insight and adjust to changing pricing and delivery requirements.
  • Use corporate tools and business analytics to drive data‑based decisions about account opportunities and growth.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with product lines, operations and other stakeholders to provide customer‑centric solutions.
  • Lead technical presentations at customer forums and local technical associations.
  • Proactively resolve technical issues with factories and quality concerns with customers.
  • Assist the team in coordinating sales efforts while keeping management informed of market conditions.
  • Quote projects and negotiate accurate pricing.
  • Obtain ongoing training on functional and technical skills.

  • General knowledge of Eaton Electrical product and service capabilities.
  • Knowledge of key customers and channel access within the sales territory.
  • Understanding of sales process and value‑added sales techniques.
  • Experience preparing sales proposals that meet customer expectations.
  • Contract management experience.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to use negotiation techniques to close orders.
  • Ability to prepare a bill of material and pricing for moderate electrical systems applications.
  • Strong trust‑building and relationship‑building abilities.
  • Proactive anticipation of customer needs.
  • Ability to learn and utilize digital tools and proprietary software.
  • Robust presentation, training, and communication skills.
Required (Basic) Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum five (5) years of electrical industry experience.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Note:

Travel may be required up to 25% of the time.

Compensation includes base pay and a target incentive, with a total compensation range of $123,750 to $218,400.
