Summary: The HVAC Preventative Maintenance Sales Representative will play a key role in supporting the HVAC maintenance department by managing various sales functions, including client prospecting, relationship building, proposal development, contract negotiation, and customer support. This position serves as a point of contact for clients and internal teams, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and promoting long-term business relationships. The successful candidate is a well-rounded sales professional with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong understanding of HVAC systems and maintenance best practices.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $115,000 annually + performance bonuses
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and prospect new clients in need of HVAC preventative maintenance services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
- Conduct on-site assessments and evaluations of clients' HVAC systems to identify maintenance needs and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with the technical team to develop comprehensive maintenance proposals and service agreements for clients.
- Present proposals and negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring alignment with their budgetary and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of maintenance projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing ongoing support and guidance to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to effectively advise clients and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Track and report on sales performance metrics, including pipeline development, conversion rates, and revenue targets.
- Maintain and foster proactive and positive relationships with customers, within the JH Kelly team, management, crafts, and all project teams.
Relationships:
- Maintain proactive and positive relationships within the JH Kelly operating groups and teams, including shop and field craft personnel.
- Foster positive relationships with customer representatives, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, safety, CAD/BIM, accounting, IT, and all project teams.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in sales in the HVAC or related industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and maintenance practices.
- Preferred:
Ability to assess and communicate maintenance requirements effectively.
- Preferred:
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM software for sales tracking and reporting.
Necessary Skills:
- Highly motivated and results-driven, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
This field-based position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods while conducting site assessments and client visits. Candidates must have the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as driving, entering data on a mobile device, and carrying equipment. Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and reaching are necessary. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, is essential.
