The Advisor Consultant is responsible for creating new relationships and managing existing ones with Financial Advisors at Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, UBS, and Raymond James. The goal is to increase sales and revenue for Neuberger Berman mutual funds, SMAs, ETFs, and alternative investment strategies within the Pacific Northwest territory (Washington, Oregon, and Alaska).

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the Pac NW territory by actively building relationships with advisors to promote business‑building ideas and services; maintain and grow assets across mutual funds, SMAs, alternative investment products, and ETFs.
  • Develop and implement a business plan for the territory using activity‑oriented goals to guide daily priorities and track progress against objectives; make prospecting calls, create qualifying lists, and provide ongoing service to existing and new clients.
  • Maintain a high level of expertise related to capital markets, the broader investment‑management industry, and marketplace developments.
  • Coordinate all prospect meetings, final presentations, RFP activities and other sales‑support activities related to the sales opportunity pipeline with Client Advisory Specialists and Analysts.
  • Exhibit strong business acumen and executive sales presence to influence decision‑makers.
  • Maintain all activity information in the Neuberger Berman CRM database.
  • Work with internal partners, including Client Advisory Specialists/Analysts, Alternative Specialists, ETF Strategists, and other members of distribution, legal, compliance, and investments.
  • Maintain knowledge of Neuberger Berman products offered through partner firms.
  • Applicants must be authorized and have the right to work in the country where the role is located without the need for current or future sponsorship.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience within the investment‑management industry; 5+ years of intermediary distribution experience preferred.
  • Experience working with wirehouse, regional, and independent financial advisors.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding predetermined key objectives.
  • Strong executive presence, active listening, client preparedness, and presentation skills.
  • Professional characteristics reflecting curiosity, empathy, and enthusiasm, coupled with a solution‑based drive.
  • Ability to develop, prioritize, and implement best practices; ability to manage a territory.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree a plus.
  • CIMA, CAIA, or CFA designations are a plus.
  • Licenses: SIE, Series 7, 66 or SIE, 7, 63, 65.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $85,000–$100,000, which may be adjusted based on education, qualifications, experience, performance, and market benchmarking. The role is also eligible for discretionary bonus and production compensation. Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement, life insurance, and other benefits to eligible employees.
