Territory Account Manager (TAM) – Specialty Sales
The Territory Account Manager (TAM) leads the long‑acting HIV injectable treatment sales team, developing strategic business plans and securing new and existing business through influence and partnership with healthcare professionals (HCPs). The TAM will execute integrated account management, drive results against business objectives, and collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver a comprehensive treatment model.
Responsibilities- Deliver results through exceptional sales and service.
- Identify, target, and win new business by influencing HCPs to adopt new HIV treatments.
- Engage HCPs, nurses, staff, and administrators to accurately understand clinical, organizational, and financial challenges.
- Leverage data analytics and market expertise to prioritize prospects.
- Prepare and execute tailored business plans that scale treatment models for patients.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams (Clinical Nurse Educators, Field Reimbursement Managers) to provide an integrated product experience.
- Maintain a portfolio‑based selling mindset and close internal communication loops.
- Provide exceptional customer service by anticipating and addressing HCP needs.
- Adapt execution plans to achieve performance goals using KPIs and scaling successes.
- Develop and nurture external relationships with key customers and thought leaders.
- Act in alignment with ViiV's culture, values, and expectations.
- Escalate issues and risks when necessary.
- Follow compliance and regulatory guidelines.
- BA/BS degree.
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
- 3+ years of specialty sales experience.
- Ability to travel domestically, including overnight travel.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Degree in Business, Marketing, or Life Sciences.
- Strong planning, organization, analytical, business acumen, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience influencing and collaborating cross‑functionally in a matrixed environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience succeeding in complex market‑access coverage situations.
- Experience managing cold‑chain treatment products with HCPs.
- Knowledge of HIV treatment and/or prevention markets.
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
- Experience partnering within an integrated account team model including multiple field‑based members.
The US annual base salary ranges from $145,500 to $242,500. The position offers an annual bonus, eligibility for a share‑based long‑term incentive program, and comprehensive benefits including health care, retirement plans, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave. All US employees receive the same benefits as GSK employees.
