Overview
AWS is seeking an experienced Account Manager to support a strategic gaming customer with primary locations in the Bay Area. The role involves regular in‑person engagement with diverse customer stakeholders, including C‑Suite, and requires a consultative mindset, technical fluency, and a long‑term relationship building approach. The ideal candidate will be based in the Bay Area and able to meet onsite as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Build a competitive growth plan based on customer outcomes
- Establish strong multi‑threaded relationships with stakeholders across product, engineering, and executive functions
- Partner with AWS technical and non‑technical resources
- Forecast using Salesforce and Anaplan
- Perform monthly business reporting
- Author annual account plans
- Navigate dynamic product environments and influence across levels to earn trust with engineering and business leaders
- Leverage experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning to support personalized player experiences, real‑time operations, and advanced content creation
7+ years of direct sales or business development experience in software, cloud, or SaaS markets selling to C‑level executives.
Preferred Qualifications- Background working with companies in gaming, consumer apps, or digital media
- Professional experience with the Video Game Industry and its ecosystem of companies
- 5+ years of building profitable partner ecosystems
- Familiarity with AI and ML technologies and their use in real‑time or player‑centric applications
- Experience managing long‑cycle opportunities with incremental growth
- Passion for games and appreciation for the creative and technical effort behind them
The base salary range for this position is listed below. The Amazon package includes sign‑on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and sales incentives. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
